Hi does anyone know how or if or where, you can get foster records from the 40`s etc.

if it was official foster family then would only be thro social services.

Quite a lot of fostering tho was done unofficially ie the foster family weren't vetted especially in those days/ I know my mum fostered in the 1950,s and she had to be vetted altho it was a private fostering .She & dad did the right thing and informed the social services that they were taking the little girl on.
