Hello Louise,
Benjamin Wakefield my 3x Gt Grandfather c1775,
Thomas his son 1816, Thomas his son 1849. All lived in and around Welford and worked on Western Welford Farm. Thomas 1849 was the father of Herbert my grandfather, my father remembers playing on the farm he was born in 1920. Benjamin was married x3 first to Martha Cruise, then Jane Mitchell then Dinah Evans. Thomas 1816 was married to Ann Arnold & Thomas 1849 to Hannah Wilder. It would be great to find someone with the same information or more, if only to back me up. I think/thought that I was the only one researching this Wakefield line. Bit vague with the children and what happened to them. Thankyou for taking the time .
Regards Yvonne

Hello Louise,
Thankyou for getting back to me so soon. I am really pleased with your info; I did not know that Benjamin & Martha had a son David. Martha was only 30 when she died 29/10/1809. As they were married 20/10/1808 perhaps she died having the baby? I have Benjamin & Jane with 3 children Thomas 1816, John 1819 & William 1820. Again, I knew nothing of Mary . I only have James 1826 born to Benjamin & Dinah. Do you know anything else about Benjamin his parents/siblings? Thomas 1816 & Ann had Mary 1841, John 1887 & Thomas 1849. I would like to find out what happened to Mary 1841. Thomas & Hannah had Thomas 1872, Stewart 1874, Herbert 1876, Edith 1878, Stephen 1880, Lily 1882 & Lucy 1884 . Apart from Herbert my grandad I know nothing about what became of them all , except that I was a bridesmaid at Stephens daughters wedding in Newbury when I was about 6 yrs old. I would love to find out more about them all. Hope that this is of some interest to you too, thank you again for your time and help . Regards Yvonne.
