Yes she was born before they married..Thats June 1913. What does it mean re registered have they changed birth date as well |

Linda, I have just looked at the registration for Amelia C Nicholls in Mar 1911. It says 'see Mar 25'. I have looked at the Mar 1925 and she is apparently re-registered as Amelia E. |

Thanks for all you help. I will talk to my Mother-in-Law tomorrow.. Tracy found Amelia Nicholls 1911 married to Mr Bartlett. Cannot be correct as we dont have a Mr bartlett in the Family.. I will try and solve this tomorrow maybe to hearing from me again...Linda |

Do you mean that she could have had a twin sister and didnt know.Thats if Amelia died young..My Mother-in-Law is alive living in Australia. She is 82 memory not to good. |

Don't know Linda but it is a coincidence that two children with same surname and same mmn in same district registered in same quarter. Do you have your mil's birth cert ? Sometimes a multiple birth is written in the left hand column as a time born. |

Do you think that there is an error some were. Ivy is my Mother-in-Law so I know her date is correct and she is not a twin.. |

Amelia E is on the same page as Ivy G both mmn Hornblow both registered Greenwich but references are too far apart to be twins |

Hi Linda, what I think Lady of the Manor was saying is that Amelia E Nicholls was registered J-M 1925 mmn Hornblow 1d 1501 Greenwich AND there is also the registration of Ivy G Nicholls J-M 1925 mmn Hornblow 1d 1429 Greenwich. |

If you look on freebmd you will find Amelia Nicholls 1911 reg. dist. Greenwich which covers births in Deptford. |

William Nicholls & Mary Hornblow Married June 1913.. They had 10 girls. I have 9 one missing. The first record of child is 1911 Amelia. |
