James Davidson Sharp, Ballymena

James Davidson Sharp was born in Ballymena, Ireland in 1836. I have no knowledge of his parents or siblings. He served in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment & Militia, part of which service was in Keiskammahoek, Cape Province, South Africa around 1863 when his son (my gt.grandfather) William was born. At the time on the Army birth certificate, William's mother was Isabella, but Isabella who? I have never been able to find a marriage of James Davidson Sharp to anyone, let alone Isabella. If anyone can either take me back to Ballymena records, or South Africa during 1863, please contact me.
