Patrick Sullivan born Limerick about 1813 in 1844/45 he married Mary (possibly Dunn) born about 1823 in Dublin. At some point Patrick joined the British Army. He had 4 children born in Ireland before moving to England in about 1853/54 as my great grandfather George Sullivan was born in Poplar/Whitechapel in 1855. Patrick was declared as a 'warder' of Fort Charlotte, Rochester and later as a Chelsea Pensioner; a terms which describes any retired soldier. |
