Hi anyone!

I am new to this and am finding it very exciting. Can someone tell me how to view the details of a birth I have found. Alexander Gilroy born Oct/Nov/Dec 1875 in Newcastle ref 10a 850. He is my grt grandfather and I have no idea where to go to find out who his parents where.

You need to purchase the birth certificate and you can do this online at

www.gro.gov.uk

The cost is 7 pounds and takes about 2 weeks to be delivered to you
