Well spotted, Albert and Herbert are close in phonics, could the name have been altered to Herbert over the years maybe?

There doesn't seem to be a Herbert but i have found this index ,if he was born 29th dec. then it would have been registered in the Jan-mar quarter
Name: Albert George Stimpson
Year of Registration: 1906
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
District: Kensington
County: Greater London, London, Middlesex
Volume: 1a
Page: 95
You would need to get the cert. to give you the parents names

Have you found his birth ref? You could buy the cert for his parents.

Are you sure of that birth date/birth name as I cant find him on freebmd at all. Where did you get those details please. Was he adopted?

I'm trying to determine the names of the parents of Herbert George Stimpson who was born on 29 Dec 1905, birth registered in Kensington, London. We know nothing about his family other than he was orphaned whilst quite young. Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks, Kim
