Can anyone help in finding the parents of Ethel Emily Williams, born in Liverpool and registered in West Derby in September 1891. I think she died in 1897. I have mistakenly thought she was my grandfather's sister but now I'm pretty sure she's not. As I have a copy of her birth certificate she must fit in my family somewhere but the question is where?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance
Barbara

Who's birth certificate have you got, the Childs or your Grandmothers?

Because she was born and died between census's the only way to know who she belongs to, is get her BC and then find the parents on the Census's

I've got Ethel Emily Williams' certificate of registry of Birth dated 29th September 1891 at West Derby Road.
I did think I might have to get her BC if only to prove who she isn't!
Thanks Carrie.

Could you...or someone in the area... look for Ethel's baptism in parish records?

Thanks for the suggestions and offers everyone. I don't know where she was baptised but could perhaps try IGI. Wayne, the West Derby Road address is the office where she was registered but again thank you for offering. I'll keep trying, this is coming between me and my sleep!

Hi Wayne
No other info on the registration of birth. I haven't got a death certificate.
Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and get her full birth certificate
Cheers
Barbara
