Yep Williams dad is called Jesse

Is there a father's name on William's marriage cert?
If he is Thomas Jesse's brother then the father's name should be Jesse.
If it is blank or some other name then there is a problem.

Marriage of Jesse to Annie Beckett. 1882. Jan/March Qtr. reg in Wandsworth. vol 1d 693. This needs checking by getting copy of the birth certificate, maybe for Thomas Jesse 1882. July/Sept. Qtr. reg in Wandsworth. vol 1d 757. This will give the Mums maiden name and you can confirm or deny the marriage.

Have you got Williams Marriage cert. to confirm his father's name?

As you can see his birth year is not definite but younger than you stated but he is Thomas Jesse's brother but there could be another William (cousin)

Thank you so much, this is all new information for me, William Willis is my Great grandad x 4 and have no info on him at all. Now i have a starting point. Could you tell me where you found that info as Jesse Willis was the son of William and Emma?

I cannot express how thank you i am.
