You can't look them up even for a fee. Divorce records are not available to the public. I believe they are subject to the "70 year rule" ie they will be available to the public 70 years after papers were filed. |

80% of divorce records are at National Archives up to 1937. If not in this period, or one of the 20% not there, you can get a copy but there's a search fee - I think it's £25. What about the local paper for the area - they may well have reported it, but then as you haven't got a date, it would be a long search! |

These are not available for the public to search. The search has to be done by the Courts Service. |
