I also have the 1881 cenus entry for Ethel but can't find an entry for her in the 1891 cenus. Her father William died in 1881. 2. I am also asking help to find the birth cerificate entry for Violet May Hopkins b.1901 & died 1903 (I already have the death cert) Thanks for any further help you can offer Jeff

Sorry to trouble you again but I can't trace Ethel Winifred Augusta Harding b.1876 in the 1891 cenus & I also can't trace birth cert. for Violet May Hopkins shown on 1901 cenus (Cardiff) 1 month old - died 1903 Cardiff. Member Since: November 2005 Posts: 10 Send Message	Edwin Hopkins b.1860 & Ethel Winifred Augusta Harding b.1876 at Redwick, Somerset. 1901 cenus shows them married but no trace of marrisge cert. First child born 1898. Also his surname was changed on birth cert from Hopkins to Hopkings by Ethel - why ? Edwin died 1905 in Cardiff - family story that his son also Edwin was brought up in an orphange. Did Ethel give up her 2 children after her husbands death ? The only Edwin Hopkins I can trace b.1860 was Edwin James Hopkins born in Bristol but without marriage cert cannot be sure. 1901 cenus shows he was born in Caernarvon , North Wales but this entry seems to be incorrect - no trace of any Hopkins' b.1860 in Caernarvon. Also no trace of Ethel in 1891 cenus. Can anyone help please Ta Jeff Hopkins
