My father George Bevan Duffield was born in Leeds in 1903. He had brothers Albert and Harold and sisters Eva, Emily, Constance. His father was George Duffield born about 1865 and mother Emily Hutchinson. His father was a cabinet maker. All I know is that his mother Emily Hutchinson died when he was 12 years old (about 1915) and his eldest sister Eva Duffield married a George Cooke and emigrated to South Africa and took the two youngest children (my father George and young sister Emily) to SA with them. |
