This is the only one I can find in 1881 with a Salford connection. His wife is down as Hannah, but the 1881 census is notorious for mistakes. I have people on the 1881 with completely the wrong name, but I know from other family members on the census that it is the person I was looking for:- |

Cornelius Cotton's daughter Harriet is 10 on the 61 census and 20 on the 71 census. Do you suppose she lied about her age because she was older than her husband? |
