Trying to find any info on the Bowman family who emigrated to Canada in 1913 from West Hartlepool. Horatio and Ada Bowman and their children Horace, Ethel, Sidney and Eric. Also any info on Horatio's parents (Charles and Annie).

Do you know where in Canada they emigrated to? -- I assume you're looking for info on them post-emigration.

BMDs in Canada are by province, so there is no central database to search. Also, privacy laws are very stringent, so no births for the last 100 years, or marriages or deaths for the last 70 or 80, are generally available. They missed the 1911 census, and the 1921 census of Canada won't be available until 2013, I think it is (92 years).

I checked at Ancestry for marriages of their children in Ontario up to 1924 (don't know how old they were when they immigrated), but none show.

I also checked WWI enrolments (in case they had a son old enough for the war), but no, and also none of the three boys appears at the Virtual War Memorial site as casualties of any war.

Far too common a name to go looking at canada411 ...

If you do have any details and I might do anything to help, let me know!
