I am looking for help from anyone about a Patrick
Cowan i know he was born in Shotts Lanarkshire in about 1690 I have his daughters marriage certificate from 15/02/1728 in St Cuthberts in Edinbugh which says Mary Cowan married to William Newlands from Glasgow it says her father Patrick Cowan tanner burgess of Edinburgh then its hard to make out but i think it says forever in Portsburgh I dont know what this means I would love to go back further about Patrick Best Wishes Sandra
