Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 0 Send Message	Hi all, I am trying to find anyone who has any info on my Hill family name! I have a gentleman called Thomas Hill born c1880 apparently born in Doncaster, but I'm not sure if that is correct. He apparently married a lady called Rebecca, maiden name not known. They had at least one child called Claud Hill who married a lady called Lavian Bostock. Now that name is very unusual so obviously I thought it would be easy to find but no!! she had been married before so Bostock could be her married name! She had 8 children all together 4 from previous marriage and 4 with Claud. Her last child and her only son was called Henry Hill. (Henry the 8th!) He was my great grandad. He had a cousin also called Claud Hill, of which I am not sure if he is still alive, I think he lives, if alive in the Sneinton area of Nottingham. He ran a pub called The Windsor Castle in the Carlton area of Nottingham with his wife Jean. A good few years ago as he moved on to Sneinton to run pubs. He could possibly now be in his 70's/ 80's but thats just guesses from what others that know of him in and around the Carlton area has said. Mini celeb being a landlord!
