Just a tip -- if you know the surnames of his daughters after marriage, it could help a lot to include them in your message! People who knew them by their married surname might recognize them -- or, at least eventually when things get transcribed, their kids can be identified in the birth index by their married surname + their birth surname.

Of course he might have more descendants than you know of ...

My three sibs and I all have solidly brown eyes (and brown hair). My mum (blonde) has pale blue eyes, my dad (black hair) had pale green eyes. My sister's grade 10 biology teacher, back just before 1980 when this was thought to be a genetic impossibility (all those Bb / bb charts), told her that her father was the milkman. ;)

Trying to trace any of my grandfather (born approx 1871) - Walter Baker's descendants. He had several kids including - Winifred (my Mum), Gladys, Lily and Leslie - all born in London in first decade of 20th century and lived in Farringdon Rd. His dad was a Joseph Baker and was a sawyer.
