Robert Duckworth late 1700s

Robert Report 2 Oct 2007 08:01

Robert Duckworth joined the army in 1806 and went to battle in the Peninsular War. While there he and his wife Dorothea Dickson had two children Agnes born in 1811 and Robert in 1814. After their return all seemed to go to Edinburgh and area, but I can find nothing else about Dorothea, although Robert, now a blind ex soldier remarried there in the 1840s. His Daughter married Andrew Erskine in Falkirk in 1839 and son married Margaret Humphray in Edinburgh in 1835 then emigrated to New Zealand. Has anyone any information on the Duckworth/ Dickson families.
