Thanks folks

I probably seem a pain, but it is just trying to fathom out how to get all the information. With this tree finding no one tells you how to do it!!! I have just paid the subscription to ancestry and my husband was mortified, but 80 quid for a year, keeps me from nagging him!!!!!

Thanks anyway to you all who have tried to help, in my next life if I ever meet this John Goodacre I will have a few words to say lol.

When ordering a birth certificate ask for a Reference check, reference being father named John and mother Jane, if it is wrong you will be charged only £4

Opp's
after thinking about answering, I Put this on wrong thread:)))))) Need a drink I think, Of Tea of course:))

Nope right thread,!

With the reference's you have for Births, you should send for them as there's no point in us chasing around and around until you have found more positive details for us and it will be a step forward for you, we know how frustrating it is, we have all been there but it is the only way.

all the best

Can anyone please help, I have looked up the 1891 census and I have found where great grandmother lived in Mansfield and stumbled upon information that the way she met my great grandfather was they lived next door!!!!! Great finding!!! But my gr grandad was born in Ruskington and moved to mansfield with his sisters and mum, but his mum remarried and had another child and I cannot read the surname, it is driving me mad. As my great grandad had a step sibling, I just want to know, the address is readable but it is the surname, Help anyone, as it stumping a line of my family tree as the mother is just Jane unknown!

Hi Reggie

My grandfather was William Kelley, b 1878
sisters Sarah b 1880
Lily, b 1886
His mother was jane and was married to William and there was another sibling, that is the surname I cannot read and cannot read the firstname of the sibling or age. When I did a search on William on the 1891 census it didn't come up, so my search was from Anne Wetton, b 1878 all dates are approximate.

Anita

I don't understand???? I have tried to trace a marriage but to no avail, it is my great great grandfather that is the problem, he has been so problematic, can trace loads of kelleys, but him, he disappears in the 1891 census and then nothing until he dies in Lewisham in London in 1906. I have funny feeling he was a rogue!!!!!

Was Kelley his surname and Goodacre his father's middle name? Or was his father's surname Goodacre and William's middle name Kelley?
