Thanks all of you for the help..Looks as if he emigrated before he was 21 .I'll ask someone to try the Canadian censuses.

Could only see son Matthew in the 1901

Can't find them on the 1891 or 1901 so must have emigrated between 1881- 1891

Have you tried asking for a Canadian or USA 1891 or 1901 census look up.

Hello ,
Can someone kindly help me find James Little born 1869 in Tweedsmuir ,Peebles in the 1891 and possibly the 1901 Scottish censuses.As far as I know,he didn't marry but emigrated to Calgary,British Columbia,Canada at some point.He died there in a mining accident in 1905.In 1881 he was with his parents ,Matthew Little and Elizabeth Ross in Talla,Tweedsmuir,Peebles.
