Good morning everyone,
I was hoping someone could kindly look up this family on the 1871 census for me please. I've found them on 1861 & 1891 & think I have found them on 1881 although a few things differ. Probably mistranscriptions though. They are:-

Joseph Moore (or Moor) b. 1838 in Sunderland, Bishopwearmouth a mariner (on 1861).
His wife Alice Moore b. c. 1838 in Bishopwearmouth. & children - possible still alive in 1871 are - Robert (1860) Mary Eliz (1861) Margaret Jane (1868) Ann E.(circa 1871)

Any help with this please would be great. Many thanks, Suzy

Hi Sophie,
looks like the right family with mistranscription on the surname. Can you tell me what his occupation is please & are all the children listed as born in Sunderland? Also does it say what their address is?
best regards, Suzy.

Hi Pamela,
many thanks for the update, this definitley confirms my family. South Johnson St. is where they were living in 1861.
Best regards, Suzy

Hi Pamela,
most interesting re Ann E. being a visitor, not quite sure who she is then as I have no details of her in any other of my MOORE families. Joseph & Alice did have a daughter Ann Eliz. in 1871 - possibly named after this girl aged 16? I will have to do some more searching now.
Thanks for your help, Suzy
