IMy grandfarther had in his effects a photpcopy of a medal why?we just do not know however the inscription reads side 1:Her M.G.M.Queen Victoria visited Birmingham June15 1858 for the purpose of opening ASTON HALL & PARK they having been purchased by the inhabiantsas a place for recreation.SIR JOHN RATCLIFFE MAYOR Side 2:MR SAM SMALLWOOD INSPECTOR OF L&N.W.R. STATION BIRM:Any one out there know off our Sam?is there a relation we dont know about ,any of the following names mean any thing ,are they in your tree perhaps ;BUSST;SCREEN;MOSS;CLISSOLD;SEABORN;WALTERS; THNK YOU FOR ANY HELP IN SOLVING THIS MYSTERY Gordon |
