Trying to find a William Griffith born abt 1850 in Wales married to Ellen Jones and I think he died in 1879 in Chester, Ellen was born in Ruabon and they had a son John born in 1871 in Ruabon then they had George born Upton-by-Chester about 1873/4 the next son was my grandfather William born 15/5/1876 in Upton-By-Chester then in 1879 Thomas was born in the 1881 census Ellen was Widowed but she later married a Mr Maddock sorry I don't know his christian name and they had a son called Charles in the 1901 census Ellen and Thomas and Charles had moved to Manchester (Stretford) but no sign of Mr Maddock as she was the head of the household at that time. |
