thanks,i think ethel was a nurse in WW2,i have a few text books,school books,etc which point to other family members as well.

I am not related to your Hards family but i found the following information.

Registered at Wandsworth..

Mothers maiden name: Groves..

Mabel W Hards..
December q 1916..
Registered at Richmond S..
Mother: Groves..

I cannot find any other births..

MARRIAGE:
Arthur G Hards..
Lily B Groves..
September q 1911..
Registered at Wandsworth..
Volume: 1d..
Page: 1202..

I also found these births..
Lily Bertha Groves..
December q 1886..
Registered at Poplar..
Volume: 1c..
Page: 604..

Arthur George Hards..
December q 1884..
Registered at Wandsworth..
Volume: 1d..
Page: 792..

I was trying to find out the links with Bertha Lily Hards who i believe was her mother and also the A.G Hard who drew the map was her father.

trying to find the relatives of ethel hards who married my dad in 1945,she was born in wandsworth 1914,and died wandsworth 1965,i believe she had a sister called mabel,and in 1931 her guardian is recorded as lily bertha hards.My father remarried but i have found several old pieces of hards family history,several inscribed school books from the 18-1900's,and a hand drawn map by an "A.G.Hards",if anyone is interested in hards contact me
