I've hit a brick wall with my husband's family. His maternal grandfather was Robert Clift c1888 from the Gateshead area. At some point he moved south, to the Islington area, and married Rosanna Mcdougal b1890. They went on to have 8 children:
Rosanna, Elsie,Gladys,Robert,Alfred,John, Doris and Joan.
Any help would be great.
