My grandfather was one of John Robert Mapplebeck's younger brothers! Their parents were Henry Lajoie Mapplebeck and one of three wives! His first wife was Annie Brown and I think she gave birth to John Robert Mapplebeck. Unfortunately, Annie died and he then married a Lucy Booth who had more children. Lucy died and he then married her sister (my great grandmother, Mary Ann Booth)There would appear to be some discrepancies here (whether he was a bigamist or not, I am not sure, but he appeared to be married to both Lucy and Mary Ann at the same time!) Mary Anne also appears in the 1881 census as the wife of Henry Lajoie in Winterton, Lincs with a 2 year old John Robert Mapplebeck! To get back to your line i.e. through John Robert, he and Annie E.Coult had 4 children, William Henry, Percy, Lewis and Alexis. William H married Minnie Gertrude Brooke and they had two children, Douglas and Nancy. Douglas lives in S.Wales and has in his possession the family bible started by George and Catherine Adele Mapplebeck. (If you require information about George & Adele please let me know, but I do not want to bore you with information you may already have!) Nancy, his sister lives in the north east of England. Of course, you may know this already, but if not, it would appear that you have cousins/second cousins etc. I apologise if you have this information already. Kind regards Linda
