Hi,Looking for info on Robert Fowler my gt grandfather and his parents.I have Robert on census 1871 to 1901. He was born Liverpool in 1842 according to death cert which says he was 71 in 1913 but don't know exact date of birth.According to his 1st marriage to Sarah Stanwix in 1862 the cert says he was living in Burlington St Liverpool and occupation, baker. His wife was living in nearby Vauxhall Rd.In all the census after his marriage he was ship painter at the docks. His father also Robert was a coachman.I found a Robert Fowler on the 1851 census aged 41 and a cabdriver. He was at a lodging house and if this was his father I couldn't find his mother,Robert or any siblings if any.Robert's 1st wife died of typhoid in 1869 leaving him with 3 children. They were christened at St Peter's ,Church St. and lived in that area.He married again in 1870 to Maria Maloy and had a 2nd family of children. On this marriage cert. his father Robert is down as a car driver.I would love to find out about Roberts life before his marriage and of any info at all about his parents and siblings.Hoping that someone may be able to help in any way. Thank you. Mary |

Hi Vera, I cann't belive the quick reply When I found Robert on the 1851 census it took me days of of searching the census pages and big headaches. Sarah my Gt grandmother would not be on any census as she married Robert June 1862 and died 1869 before the 1871 census. |
