Jane

As your Wilson was an officer, his records would be at the National Archives at Kew, under WO339 or WO374. try search of catologue under W Wilson at http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/search.asp. Please note although you should be able to find possible records for your man, these records are not on-line, so would need a visit.

Dawn

If your G/Uncle served during WW2, his records would still be with Ministry of Defence see this link for details on how to get his records http://www.veterans-uk.info/service_records/army.html.

hello Dawn
am struggling with same problem - Wiliam Wilson b.1886 was an officer and mounted cavalryman in the Royal Artillery in WW1. Have tried both ww1 pension lists and site recommended by Porkie Pie but no luck.
would recommend all not to have Wilson relatives!

I am trying to trace the records of my grt uncle who served with the Royal Artillery in WW 1.
I have his full name and d.o.b. but sadly not his service number.
He also served in WW 2 with the Indian Army and would also like to trace these records.
I have photos of him in his R.A. uniform of WW1 and also in his uniform of the Indian Army WW2.

I am going down several lines of research but with no luck.
Can anyone help me?

Thank you,
