There are marriages in Sunderland for those children mentioned in the 1901 census if they are your family................ Christina McKenzie = David Harvey in 1914 Christina B McKenzie = Thomas Pearson in 1913 Jessie Mc Kenzie = John Dowling in 1909 Simona C McKenzie = Harold M Barlow in 1917

The RFA was royal field artillery and a Driver would have been driving a team of horses at that time - with the guns on the back - have a google, you should get some really interesting stuff and some illustrations to add to your tree.

Ian, I can only tell you that it is related to the military. Posslibly Royal Field Artillery? I don't know though. I'm sure if you asked over on Rootschat (great web site for advice and help), someone will know. I feel your pain with the Mac/Mckenzie's - I'm in the same boat! However; if you can give me any other info you have about them, I would be happy to see what I can find on the Scottish Census.

most possibly the cert is a lil damaged and all i got is 'bord camp' with a gap in between which i cant make out. im about 99 percent sure it is now after speaking to you, many thanks

Ian, It is Bordon Camp, near Headley in Hampshire. It's an Army base. RFA would be Royal Field Artillery. Rose

Hi there can anyone please help me??? i have here a marriage certificate and i have a thomas pearson whos proffession is a DRIVER (R.F.A). can anyone help me find out what this occupation was. he was also living at border camp in headley? or any other data i would be very grateful. his father was called thomas too would also love to find some data on a james goodwin mckenzie born glasgow 1845 married to an isabella cleminson?. finding mckenzies to match is like finding a needle in a haystack. if anybody could help me i would be very grateful,
