Member Since: August 2007 Posts: 1 Send Message	hello, my name is linda and i am looking for information on my grandfather, Herbert Claude William James Davies who was born on October 21 1897 in Cardiff, South Glamorgan Wales. As far as i'm aware his parents names are Caleb and Elizabeth (unknown maiden name)Herbert also had a twin by the name of Clarence and his siblings names are Fred, Stanley, Elsie and Lilian. I don't know when or where they were born. Herbert came to Australia, but i don't know the year. He married Diana Leathers in Perth, Western Australia in 1924. Diana later passed away, and Herbert went on to marry Sylvia Dorothy Police on August 9 1940 in Perth Western Australia. Together they had five children, Rosalie born 1940, Leonie born 1942, Shirley born 1944, David born in 1946 and Marlene (my mother) born in 1949. They resided in East Perth WA. Herbert passed away at the age of 65 on December 25, 1962. Sylvia is still alive and living in Perth.
