MERVYN MALCOM WILLIAMS Trying to trace my Grandfather's roots. We believe he was born in Scotland in 1894. His father was John Frederick Williams. We think he also had an older brother called John. Family history on this side is a little vague as we believe that he may have left home whilst still quite young. Mervyn served in the great War of 1914-18 with the Royal Artillery. We know nothing else until 1931 when he married my Grandmother Elizabeth Catherine Davies. They had two children, Owen Lloyd Davies Williams and Dorothy Louisa Olive Ann Williams. Mervyn died in 1942 at the age of 49. He was living in Bury Port, West wales at the time of his death. I know little else about him as my Father, Owen and Aunty Dorothy were both quite young when he died. His nickname was 'Mac' and prior to his death he was working as a groundsman at the Royal Air force station in Pembrey. if you know anything about Mervyn please contact me. Thanks. |
