The death certificate arrived today. Well done Steph. Threadgale was the right one although it is correct as Threadgold on the certificate. She died aged 3mths of bronchitis and convelsions.

Strange, I never knew I had an aunt Catherine Annie.

Jacky, If your Catherine was born in 1921 and died in 1963 she wouldn't be 38. Are you sure you have the right one? Steph

Thank you everybody who took the time to look up this for me. As usual, somebody has found the information. (how come I am so much better finding other peoples family than my own?) Thank you Royston, Catherine Threadgold married in Bradford 1954, J L Wood April qtr Vol 2B page 259. They had a son Terrence also April qtr 1954 born Liverpool north Vol 10b page 334. She died Catherine Wood nee Threadgold Liverpool north July qtr 1963 age 38. Their son would be only 9 years old.I do not know where she lived or who so lived with from 1921-1954 or what happend to the son and the husband, so the search goes on. Many thanks, Jacky x

I have several certs mistranscribed. Mary for Mercy, Constant for Constance,Mary for May. All the correct family members mistranscribed on Gro.2 certs with the names written down wrong. Probably happened when the local reg office sent off their 3 monthly bmds to GRO Buy the Treadgale death to prove one way or the other its your relative Margaret

Well, it looks like they have mixed up their Golds with the Gales here doesnt it. My money is on her being Threadgale as you have been given, Threadgold is just below on index. Janice x

Hi Kenneth Well her birth is definately there as you said registered Toxteth Park, so the death you have will be right. Janice

Have found a death which could be your missing Catherine. June qtr 1921 Threadgale - Catherine A 0yrs District Toxteth P Vol 8b Page 229 The district is the same and I cannot find a birth of a Catherine A Threadgale. Hope this helps Steph

Perhaps you should look for a few more years for deaths, then if she's not there, then start looking for marriages!!

Ann, Thank you for looking, I checked up to 1935. My mother was born 1932. I am sure I would have known about a missing Aunt had she known about it. I wonder what happened to her. Thanks Jacky

I've checked to end of 1930, and she's not mentioned. Perhaps someone could carry on1931 onwards.

I am looking for details of Catherine Anne Threadgold born jan qtr 1921 Liverpool Vol 8b page 365 mother Ross. This child was born to my grandmather Catherine ann Threadgold nee Ross. However, I do not know of her maybe she died as a child, I know the children she had before and after but what became of Catherine? Hope somebody out there has the time to have a look for me, please. many thanks Jacky
