I've just tried to use Ancestry, and can't access it at all. I notice that the Log in message doesn't appear at the moment. Wonder if they have taken the site down to rectify the problem I told them about yesterday. Oh dear, is it all my fault? Sorry. Jan.

Janet Report 6 Nov 2003 13:37

I haven't tried today yet, but yesterday, when I clicked on a page number to see the other people on that page (usually 31 entries) it was coming up with hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of names. I have emailed them about it, because its so useful to be able to look at all the names on the page without having to open the whole sheet. The other way of looking at a whole page is to copy down the RG no, Folio and Sheet, and put that in the Search box, making sure that all other entries have been deleted. Jan.

Andy Having the same problem as you, won't display the image. Driving me mad Margaret

Andy

Andy Report 4 Nov 2003 23:46

Yes, just noticed that. Just a personal whinge, but for one particular family of mine, I still can't access the image, despite the cosmetic changes. I have the family in the index, but clicking on the link still results in a 'Page can't be displayed' message. Grrr... I wonder if they've managed to sort out their problem with regards index entries being linked to the wrong census image.

Just done a look up, and the index is completely different. Not sure yet whether or not its an improvement - wonder if I'll now find my long lost relatives there. Jan.
