Lynda, I'd love you to do me a 1851 London lookup but at the moment I don't have a complete address. Is it all right if I come back to you later when I have a birth certificate or other record with address? Jacqueline Think the Message Police is someone with a good sense of humour. I have sent them an email asking if and when I will be arrested? had no reply, so assume it was a good joke. If it's big brother, then I'll expect a knock on my door oooohh scary!! Lynda

The message by Message Police is not GC, it is more likely someone who was on the other thread disagreeing with Lynda who has now taken their tree off GC and changed their username. Notice the ending Anon, everything i have been sent by admin has a name attached. If people want a look up or want to do look ups it is up to them. These squables tend to break out every week or so, each to their own i say. George

Sorry to interject - my opinion is that EVERONE is entitled to their opinion, and those that want to help can, and those who want to advise can - me? I'm just slightly concerned at the message from THE MESSAGE POLICE (a few messages in front of this one) Who is that? Is it GC monitoring the proceedings? First time I have ever seen it and goodness knows every few weeks there is a barney of some sort - good healthy debates never hurt anyone. Is it Big Brother or what! Jacqui

William I have not taken offence at your message, because you wrote it so nice and friendly,and that is where things go wrong isn't it? Perhaps you could put the same message on the other board. I think it is needed more there, as I think on this board we know what we want, just to help others, without others telling us what we mustn't do. Not really sure what the other one meant. I don't think anyone is bragging or trying to tell others what to do. Just idea's you all have which I think is great. I too have received help in the past and still do from the other forum sites. Now I in turn help others when I can. We have a great hobbie lets just enjoy it ok. Thanks to any of you who has helped me in the past, present or in the future. I hope I am returning all the favours by helping others now. Irene

Margaret If you look at Lyndas other threads she does tell them, she offered the London Census and she has VRI, she is not witholding anything.

Margaret What do you think I do, withold the information from them? If someone asks I'd tell them and don't assume that everyone cares where it comes from. You do your research your way stop TELLING me how to do mine. Lynda
