Australian soldier settled in Manchester after WW1

Hi my name is Val I'm trying to find my great Grandfathers family, His name was Frederick Henry George, he was supposedly, from Sydney Australia born in 1881, he was in the Australian Army, in the Machine Guns Corps, could have been part of the Royal West Kent regiment?! and after the war he settled in manchester, as a draughtsman. He married my Gran, Lillian Watt, in we think, London, she was born in Hulme Manchester. They married sometime between the war end and 1924 (when my Aunt was born.) Frederick supossedly, died in 1927 not long after my Father was born!!. Its as though he never existed!!! PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME FIND MY AUSTRALIAN FAMILY!!!!!! Regards to all Val
