Hi Thanks I am having great difficulty finding him, James Mansfield is definately at that address in 1861, I suppose the people he was living with might not of mentioned him, as I think he was a servant. regards, Siobhan

Siobhan, not sure if this helps but the only Talbot Square currently showing in the A to Z of London is actually more like Paddington - right near the station in fact, just off of Sussex Gardens. Just to the South is Bayswater Road, then Hyde Park, the other side of which is Kensington. Perhaps someon could try under Paddington/Bayswater for you just in case?? Maz. XX

Thank you Leigh, It should be Boon but there are so many weird and wonderful variations of spelling on censuses that Boons may have been a possibility. Thanks again................Pam

Hi Pam Have just added them to my sheet One question is it Boon or Boons Leigh

Pam Report 12 Jan 2004 19:26

Hi Leigh, While you have your book open, could you have a look for any John Boons in Kensington? John Jnr would be only weeks old but his father could be any age over marriage age. I don't know if they were in Kensington but I am so desperate for some trace of them. Thanks for that, Regards........Pam

Have updated my post now, as Ada and Edwin have been found and I am really excited as I have lots of new information now to go on. Just wish James Mansfield could be found, his address on marriage cert in 1861 is definately Talbot Square, Kensington. I know he should be there at the time of the census as Ada is at the address given for her on the marriage cert. Thank you everyone who has helped me with my request. regards, Siobhan

I now have an address If anyone can do a lookup of the census for me, it would be greatly appreciated. 9 Talbot Square, Kensington (Although on Street map, the only Talbot Square is in Bayswater, right next to Sussex Gardens and near Hyde Park) Should be JAMES Mansfield living there* WILL I EVER FIND HIM I have a certificate with the address on, for the year 1861. I have access to the 1891 census, so can do lookups of that in return. Also have 1881 census on disc which covers Scotland. Thanks, Siobhan
