have him on the 1881 living with his wife and 3 children in batley, got his w cert, [1873] she was his 2nd wife. he was born in manchester in 1845/46, and his father had the same name. cannot find him anywhere else, tried lancs list -tried 1901 and 1891, he was an iron moulder in 1881, any ideas, anyone, thanks sue. |

from the 1881, his wife mary[ nee fletcher, then hepplestone- she was a widow when she married william] was dau of george fletcher. on 1881 they had 3 children, ellen ann[my gr grandma, ] have her on the 1901. hudson b 1880-no trace, might have died young. susan, not found. they must be on either the 1891 or 1901 somewhere. sue. |

ellen ann was b sept qtr 1875 batley, she married my gr grandad vials thompson in 1893 in birstall. joseph walker was a witness, so i think william and mary prob. had more children, sue. |

Sue I think this is them on 1891 - they'd been transcribed as McMahon, the family before them on the schedule Mary Walker, wife, 44, feeder in woollen mills, Yorkshire Batley Susan Walker, daur, sing, 14, rag picker, Batley Hudson Walker, son, sing, 10, scholar, Batley Sarah Ellen Walker, daur, 9, scholar, Batley Mary Elizabeth Norton, boarder, 14, rag picker, Lancashire NK at 45 Common Road, Batley Emma. |

hi emma, that is them, well some of them. if it says mary was a wife and not widow, wonder where he had floated off to MEN !!! ellen ann would have been 16 by then, she must have been with relations or a serveant. she married in 1893 and w cert says she was living in staincliffe then. thanks sue. |

sue I have found a William R Walker as a boarder in Bramley Yorkshire aged 48 and he is a iron moulder, birth listed as rochdale lancs. Is this him?? If so do you want me to send you the copy Cindy |
