I am now wondering whether my g grandparents really did get married or not.... i have searched 1837 online from 1901 to 1914 for a marriage of William cole and Phyllis cooper. My grandmother was born march 1916 and was one of 11 children , coming in at about 7 th child i believe. her name was pricilla cole. she was born in a caravan in hampshire, southampton way. i have found her birth registation fine. Phyllis was born c.1877 and i believe her family originated from hampshire , william cole, i am not sure of. william and phyllis were travellers thus the birth in a caravan! Perhaps they just jumped the broomstick back then! i really am struggling on this side of the family, can anybody please help me find their marriage!! Many many thanks. Rebecca. |

Not everything is on 1837. There is a disk out on Gypsies, Tramps and Strangers discribed as A collection extracts from Parish Registers, Census, newspapers etc. I don`t know if this helps or what it is like maybe someone on this site has a copy and can help. Only other thing I can suggest is 1901 census. Mary |
