I have been trying to double check the birthplace of my great grandfather John Boon for some time now, to enable me to order a birth certificate. He is shown in the 1891 census as being born in London but on the 1901 there has been a mis-transcription with the original showing his birthplace as London and the transcript has him born in Brighton. There are only 2 entries on FreeBMD for a John Boon with a possible birthdate and neither of them have the correct father, also John Boon ( I have ordered both certificates and been told that they are not my JB) I can find no entry for John or his father on the 1881 census under any spelling variation of the name Boon. Does this mean that sections of the census are missing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks..............Pam |
