Union Workhouses....any idea's!

Does anyone know where i can find information on Union Workhouses in Nottinghamshire during the 1800's, as i've found one of my rellies in one in 1891. Any help please. Dawn

Hello Dawn Type Nottingham Union Worhouse history into search and they will come up. Some have a list of 1881 census residents too. Shirley

Dawn, just noticed your thread. I offered to email you the page that I told you about with your relative on. Unfortunately, when I tried, I couldn't do it, and then I couldn't access my email, and forgot what your name was to try and find you on a thread. Thanks Carol If it was the 1891 census then yes i found it under Driscilla Thursby not Priscilla Thursby. I'm trying to findout about the workhouse that she was living in in 1891 at the moment, they sound like horrible places, especialy as she was written down as an idiot, poor woman.Thankyou anyway Dawn
