Can't Get Past 1906!

I am trying to trace back my family tree (its why I'm here), but no matter where I go, I cannot get past my grandad born in 1906, and died in 1983. His name is William Charles Hart, and he married an Emily Read. They both had 6 children, Jeanette, William, Maureen, Iris, John and Eileen (My mum). But I can't delve into beyond My Grandad. I no nothing of any brothers or sisters... Any help will be gratefully appreciated. :-) |

Marc Have you thought of getting his birth certificate, if you know his birth date? That will give his parents. If not If you put the area he was born I'll try and find his parents for you. Lynda |

thanks a lot!!!, he was born on 9th september 1906, and according to a FREEBMD(and I am not old enough to own a credit card to use the paying facitilities anywhere else, I'm only 15), he was born in the Poplar district. We have no record of his birth certificate anywhere, but maybe one of my aunts do, I am not too sure, also, no matter where I try, there is also no mention of my gran, Emily Read (Who was married to become Emily Hart, she died when my mum was seven on november 16th 1960, and she was born on 19 October 1913. Sadly I know nothing else, and would again be grateful if anyone could get even the slightest bit of information. |

Marc Have found an Emily S Read born in West Ham Her mothers maiden name was Johns. Did Emily have a middle name? I am just going to look for her parents. Lynda |

Hi Mark. P.R.O. records show Wiiiam Charles Hart as District Poplar 3rd Q 1906 Vol. 1c Page 610 the 0 is not fully clear on the record. Emily Read is shown as 4th Q. 1913 District West Ham Vol 4a Page 59 mothers maiden name shown as John's Trust this Help's Leon |

Hi Marc, I am not sure if you have your grandparent's (William & Emily) marriage cert. So again from the P.R.O. records Married 4thQ. 1935 District Stepney. Vol 1c Page 402. Good luck with your search. Leon |
