I was just about to update this message.....if i had a brain i would be dangerous! Mark's later children were born in Carbrook (wherever that is) so in 1871 thats where he would be. Sorry for taking your time up on a wasted look up. Time to get atlas out...where the hell is Carbrook???? Thanks Vicky

Sorry. I have checked East Bridgfrod Piece and seven others. There are a number of Dents but not Mark

Hi Robin Dents again..youre probably sisk to death of looking for these! East Bridgford. You kindly find a Mark Dent born abt 1840 living with his widowed mum in 1861 census. I have found him on the 1881 census married to a Mary Ann, with five kids. But would like to know where he was in 1871...if you dont mind. I dont like missing gaps. His oldest child John, is 19 and daughter Lucy is 14 (others will not be born). Many thanks again Vicky
