I was hoping someone may be able to help me find a recording of the birth of George Brain born 1843, St. George, Bristol area. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but I promise I am not taking the easy option by asking here as I have done days worth of research on this one event. Paid searches on the 1837 site revealed no matches, and there is no records shown on freeBMD either. He is shown on the 1881 census site and I have recording of him on the 1901 site, but I still cannot seem to get any evidence of him earlier so I can trace parents or siblings. Any help or advise would be very much welcomed. Thank you. Dave. Bristol.

Thanks Tony & Ruth. I have all the info on George from 1901 back to 1881, but nothing that coincides with his birth year or christening. Tony, if you mean that it was a christening in Holy Trinity, Kingswood in Jan 1843, then it might be worth following that up in the hope he was born in St. George & christened in Kingswood, which is not too far from there. Thanks to you both again for replying. Dave. Bristol.
