Hi Christine, Thanks for that. I have seen that one, but am really not sure if it's him ot not. Thta's why I wnat to try and trace his RN service details from Kew. Thnaks for your interest though. Pauline

My 2nd greatgrandfather was called Matthew Wasley, born c1824 in Cornwall(don't know where though) and according to his daughters wedding cert, he was a seaman in the Royal Navy, sometime after 1857, and before 1880, as he shows as deceased on her wedding cert. I am getting desparate to break this brick wall down, so any help much appreciated. Pauline
