Looking for any descendents of watermen and lightermen who lived in GREENWICH, LONDON. Trying to find photos of boats, CORYS shipping.Any families pictured on the river THAMES. If your grandparents or great grandparents worked for CORY'S. Then please contact me. My grandfather WILLIAM, JAMES BOWEN ( BILL )worked for this company. His boat was called the RUFUS and it had a black diamond on the funnel. He died in 1921 from an accident on the THAMES.Would like to know more about this, but I don't know who to approach. Can anyone help. Also in my family of watermen are the HARRISONS, YOUNGS, TEASLES and of course BOWENS. Please get in touch no matter how little your info is. All these families lived in the GREENWICH, DEPTFORD,CHARLTON area.
