dont know christian name please help

my grandfather passed before i was born.Iam trying to put together a family tree but i dont know my grandfathers christian names my father was john thomas reed born 19/11/1929 in doncaster area his mother was called alice brough and father reed. i would appreciate any help anyone could give to trace the missing pieces thank you

Your father's birth certificate would give you his parents names?

i do not have my fathers birth certificate so am unable to go any further with the search on my grandfathers christian names

You can buy a copy of it for £7 if you write to the register office for where he was born.

Do you, by any chance have your parents marriage cerificate? That too will have your Grandfather's name on it. Ann Glos
