Hi Thanks for the tips. I did look at Lancashire BMD but it didn't cover deaths in later years. I think the Evelyn Chapman in Liverpool 11 is the grandmother that i am trying to trace. As my mother was put into the Canon Bennett home for adoption, i don't know if there were any other brothers and sisters and I am not one hundred per cent sure that her husband was the George E Chapman that I have found. Thanks for all the help, if you have any more ideas, PLEASE let me now. thanks, Christina |

Hi Christina In my Gores directory for Liverpool 1938 there is a George Edward Chapman listed at 13 Dorien Rd Lpool 13 Occupation Joiner. Also a Mrs Evelyn Chapman at 29 Harwell Rd Lpool 11. Maybe either of these roads ring a bell to someone in your family. If the marriage on Lanc BMD is your Evelyn then she would have at least been 18ish in 1916 so in her 30s as you say in the 1930s. Wish i could help more she was most likely alive on the 1901 census you know, do you have her parents names or any sisters or brothers ?????. Colette |

Can anybody help me. I know my grandmother, Evelyn Chapman was alive and well in 1936 at 70 Sedley Street Liverpool, but that is all I am sure of. She probably would have been approx. in her 30's at the time. I need to find her date of death. So far, we have found an Evelyn Chapman(nee Flynn) born in 1898 and a marriage in 1916, which could be her, but I don't know when she died.....any ideas? |
