Can anyone help. I am trying to find details of John Chaplais who married in Manhattan to Katherine Long in April 1898. Never heard of him since. I wondered if he had had children. Its very strange his Mother Rosina Loveland married Pierre Chaplais but he died in 1865 and she married Richard Johnson in 1879. I thought that John was Richard's son but why does he carry his mother's first husband's name. Help I am becoming so confused with this Chaplais family. I know the Chaplais family was hugonuts (completely wrong family but they are making me go nuts - hugely!!). I have no idea whereabouts in France they come from. Help needed desperately!! |
