My gg grandfather Charles Glover Simpson b 1833 Shoreditch married Mary Martha Challenor b 1838 Clapham. In 1871 they were living St Olave Southwark. Their oldest child Willie was b 1864 Mile End. Cannot find Charles in 1881 census but he is back with wife in 1891. He died 1894 age 62. He was a poulterer. I need help as I cannot find their marriage. Is there a kind person who can help? Have you thought that he might have been in prison or at sea in 1881?

I would think he married between 1855 and 1864 but have not come across it. Why would she be living on a settlement in 1881? He was poulterer as far as I know. Shirley
