Wow Thank you so much Geoff, Loads to check now, a lot corresponds with the 1891-census info I had. Henry Matson (8 in 1891) has disappeared Florence 9 and David Edward 6 are new !! . David Laidlaw I had as 7yrs in 1891, I’ll have to go back and check that one! Wow a couple of new names to trace!!! I’ll have to go back to and try to find them. Aunt, Sarah Laidlaw 70yrs Laundress Born Wavetree Cousin, Bella Laidlaw 25 yrs Servant Born London I think that the first Copeland you came up with was the correct one. “Frances Copeland 17 Birkenhead, Waitress” the latter one you found the age doesn’t mesh I appreciate the time research time you put into this Cheers Ian Ian . Re Matsons, 1901 the only Elizabeth (of the right age) living in Lancs/Cheshire was Elizabeth 60 Lancs Radcliffe living in Radcliffe, probably with Elizabeth 17 Lancs Radcliffe, Cotton weaver No Henrys in the area.

Angie, I understand that it allows you to see limited information from the 1901 census without having to pay but as I have a NT system at work and a Mac at home, nether of which are supported, I haven’t seen it in action so to speak. Hopefully someone who has the program can point you to a download site HTH Ian

Frances Copeland 17 Birkenhead, Waitress domestic is alone. The following Copeland family is in Birkenhead Thomas 49 Scotland, railway inspector Harriett 30 Ches Birmigton John 21 Birkenhead, Telegraphist Harriett 23 Birkenhead Ernest 12 Birkenhead There don't seem to be any obvious signs of the Matsons.
